Situated in the heart of the Mwagusi area of Ruaha National Park, Tanzania. Nomad Tanzania’s Kigelia Camp has long been a favorite of ours, especially in combination with Sand Rivers, Selous to provide some excellent multiple-night-stay specials. Kigelia Ruaha’s aim is to blend into its environment with the emphasis on the experience but it is still more than comfortable, and for this reason we love this camp!
Set on the banks of the Ifuguru sand river, the six tents sit under sausage trees, after which the camp is named. They have simple plain wood furniture, decks to sit out on, and en suite bathrooms with a flushing toilet and outside bucket shower. The camp has a combined lounge and dining area with meals often enjoyed under the stars or around the camp fire.
