THE FINEST REMOTE ACCOMMODATIONS
Most companies choose large, centrally located hotels and lodges that are often overrun with hordes of tourists. We, on the other hand, recognize that superb nature adventures require the quiet and seclusion of remotely located camps and lodges.
Yes, these strategically placed accommodations often cost a bit more, and getting there can be a little more involved (though often more fun!). But such lodgings, where luxury is defined as much by proximity to wildlife as by superlative comfort and amenities, are a key part of our mission to offer the world’s greatest nature adventures.

UNIQUE ITINERARIES YOU WON’T FIND ANYWHERE ELSE
We build our itinerary around places where wildlife viewing is superb at the time of year we are visiting. Unlike many companies that operate the same standard itinerary year-round, we tailor ours around seasonal events that determine the best wildlife presence and numbers.
We only focus on East Africa and with our presence on the ground, planning constantly, guide training, and years of experience scouring the East Africa for the world’s most captivating nature destinations, we possess resources and insight not available to other tour companies. Look at our itineraries and you’ll see that they include access to private wildlife reserves, remote corners of national parks (away from tourist crowds), and distinctive lodges and camps situated where wildlife viewing is best.
WE USE INTERNAL FLIGHTS TO MAXIMIZE YOUR TIME ON SITE
Our guests travel to the world’s farthest reaches to spend as much time as possible in nature and with wildlife, not to bump along dusty roads on endless long transit days. We maximize your time with wildlife instead. So, where practicable, we arrange flights between remote locations, often in chartered aircraft to ensure the most convenient scheduling. However, we do include drives when you would otherwise miss spectacular scenery—our operations staff works diligently to craft the optimal mix of transportation modes.
COUNT ON A WINDOW SEAT & PLENTY OF SPACE IN OUR SAFARI VEHICLES
On our safari, every guest has a window seat for unimpeded views and photography. We limit the number of guests in each safari vehicle to maximize comfort. In contrast, many other companies use crowded mini buses, which aren’t nearly as mobile or advantageous when it comes to getting you close to the wildlife.
OUR PROMISE NEVER TO CANCEL A TRIP DUE TO LOW ENROLLMENT
Our customers have made it very clear to us that guaranteed departures are very important. As a result of this feedback we have gone through all our group tour schedules and nominated a handful of departures as guaranteed departures. We are pleased to be able to give you more confidence to book your adventure holiday with us.
Most of our safari tours are guaranteed departures with just two guests. Our guaranteed departure means that the tour will definitely operate on the day it is scheduled and will not be cancelled for lack of participation. All guaranteed departures will run except in the event of a natural disaster or other similarly disruptive event that is beyond our control.
PRIVATE GAME RESERVE WITH WOLD-CLASS LUXURY ACCOMMODATION
Most safaris stay strictly within the main areas of popular national parks and reserves. In contrast, we choose remote small safari camps on private conservancies within the Maasai Mara and Serengeti ecosystems, away from big lodges and roads filled with vehicles.
From these adjacent reserves we have easy access to more removed sectors of the parks while also enjoying special privileges not offered inside the parks, such as guided safari walks, off-road driving and night drives in search of nocturnal wildlife. Our safari also includes other private conservancies in less-visited regions, with similar special opportunities.
SMALL GROUPS MEAN BETTER WILDLIFE ENCOUNTERS
We travel with a maximum of approximately 24 guests. Many East African safaris take groups of 25 or more, wedged into uncomfortable mini buses. Small groups mean we get closer to the herds, have better photo opportunities, and our experience is enriched by more personalized interpretation from our Expedition Leaders as we watch the wildlife action side by side.
We know meaningful nature encounters must take place in small groups. That’s why our trips average just nine travelers, by far the smallest groups in the business. This not only guarantees you more personal close-up wildlife encounters, but a lower-impact presence on the planet’s fragile natural places we love.
SEE MORE WILDLIFE WHILE STAYING CLOSEST TO THE HERD
All our accommodation, like at the Ngorongoro Crater, we stay at an intimate small camp on the crater rim at an exclusive location inside both park gates and closer to the crater floor than most other accommodations in the area.
This proximity allows exclusive access to wildlife viewing in the crater early in the day, before others arrive from farther away. And, by late afternoon the big cats start to perk up for nighttime hunts, giving us a chance to see a bit of action after most safari vehicles have started their ascent out of the crater in order to make it through both gates by dusk.
FAVORABLE CANCELLATION POLICY
Traveling can be a hassle even when things go according to plan. When things do go wrong or unexpected situation such as family, illness e.c.t, however, a dream trip can transform into a nightmare.
